What is Egami?

Egami

e*gam*i  [e-gom-e]

1. (n.) the negative or distorted image that one has of oneself, often preventing them from achieving success: John suffers from egami.

2. (adj.) the process one goes through to overcome a negative or distorted
self-image: Mary's life has begun to change since beginning her Egami process.

Egami™, the word image spelled backward, is a condition in which many individuals and organizations suffer. It is when one has allowed the negative or distorted image that they have of themselves to prevent them from being the person or the organization that they were created to be.

Contrary to popular belief, individuals suffering from egami may demonstrate a wide array of characteristics, ranging from low self-esteem to, even, vanity. Here, we not only want to identify those characteristics, but provide the recipe for those individuals to overcome it.

Therefore, image empowerment is the process of giving power and authority to others by focusing on their self-image and the image that they project to others, so they may achieve "true" success and happiness. The Egami process of image empowerment focuses on empowering individuals and organizations from the inside out.
